I'd like to express my dissappointment of the recent lack of Squirrels!

Rik: me too, to be honest! There have been a number of problems... the first is, in Tennessee where I am now the squirrels are treated as vermin, so getting close to them has proved much harder than in the UK. The second has been that I have struggled to find the opportunities to get out among the squirrels here.
It doesn't help that I only generally post on squirrels when I have something unusual to report, and of course, unusual events are by definition uncommon. ;)
But rest assured, I am still squirrel watching, I just haven't had anything interesting to pass on recently.
